We understand that for many people a trip to the dentist can cause nervousness or fear. At Greenland Dental Burpengary, our caring and friendly dentist team can help change your dental experience for the better. We take the time to talk with you, listen to your concerns and discuss the options so you feel in control and at ease. Our treatment rooms are a calming environment with ceiling TVs to offer a pleasant distraction. We use advanced dental equipment, gentle techniques and premier anaesthetic to offer you minimal to no discomfort. We can also offer nitrous oxide sedation (happy gas) to help you relax before your procedure.
Happy gas (or nitrous oxide) is a sedation technique used to help patients, particularly those with anxiety, to relax and feel more comfortable about their dental procedures. We gently place a small nasal inhaler over the patient’s nose, allowing them to comfortably breathe in the gas. The gas allows patients to feel relaxed and free of care while remaining awake and aware. If local anaesthetic is used in conjunction with happy gas, the injection is often painless. Once treatment is complete, the effects of happy gas wear off very quickly, allowing you to leave the surgery unescorted and drive your own car.
At Greenland Dental Burpengary, we place the safety of our team and patients as our top priority. Our team is committed to proper infection control procedures to prevent the spread of infectious viruses and bacteria. We take great pride in exceeding the standards and guidelines so our patients can be confident that our surgery and instruments are spotless.
We use single-use instruments where possible and sterilise all multiple-use dental instruments in an autoclave. Our staff wear protective gloves, masks, glasses and gowns and are trained in the latest improvements in infection control. We use antibacterial hand gels, in combination with through, routine handwashing before, during and after every treatment.
All of our staff are happy to discuss any questions or concerns you have about our surgery hygiene.
